ABOUT WOMAN AMBASSADORS
Amidst the changing world scenario from patriarchy to women centricity, yet cases of dripping self-confidence and independence, and the emerging culture towards minimalistic fashion, Woman Ambassadors – a 9month old initiative is born to create an empowerment tool for the common. "Woman Ambassadors" dares to break some stereotypes in international jewellery sector by adding the word "Inspiration" instead of the conventional terms of "Luxury" or "Fashion" denoted to the category. We endeavour to inspire the community for better lives in general and towards women empowerment in specific. Jewellery - the defining accessory that each one adorns to uplift their personality in everyday corporate and personal lives - is redefined for the 1st time in the world to be an inspirational channel under Woman Ambassadors. By adding meaning to the metal we wear, every statement piece (for men or women) is born from an inspirational story message, written by the Founder – Aditi Poddar, that is set to be a constant reminder of beliefs or voice of the bearer's personality.
We are proud promoters of Make in India and believe in hand craftsmanship over machine production for secured employment and recognition to lower income groups. Additionally, we also help bring to light the success stories of common women which otherwise gets lost due to limited publicity. The venture further aims to create a long-term impact on a 100 lives across Asia by March 2019 through a sustainable design framework with education and financial inclusion at its heart. For this, a 5% of all sales revenue [against the industry average of 2% of net profits] are directed towards these campaigns centered in districts of West Bengal & Tamil Nadu. Our customers are proud Woman Ambassadors as they participate through ideation and execution of our campaign projects and we hope to continue these efforts to Inspire Change.
The brand was awarded as the Most Innovative Product by the famous Raabta singer - Nikhita Gandhi, adorned by Actresses like Parno Mitra, Regina Cassandra, and has also been showcased on ProKabaddi, Star Sports India by Sahithya Jagannathan.

Economics at St. Xavers’ Calcutta. Ex-McKinsey. Ex-Deloitte. MBA from Asian Institute of Management (Philippines). ADB Japan Scholar. Management Diploma from Yale University. Leadership Awardee. Scratching her way through the conventional norms of a middle class Marwari family, Aditi is perhaps the best symbolic embodiment of the brand : young, ambitious, high-spirited, inspirational and a fanatic for perfection. How could a 2018 Valentine's Day be different from that of 1958. Intrigued by the question, Woman Ambassadors is proud to introduce you to Project LOVE UNPLUGGED that aims to break the stereotype centered around Love - limited to a man and a woman.
Under Project LOVE UNPLUGGED we aim to initiate a conversation to break the taboo currently prevailing in Indian societies on Single Women Men/Divorced/Widowed and the love of an LGBTQ otherwise less embraced.
Based on the above concept, we have created an exclusive inspirational line to Celebrate Self Love among singles and the Freedom to Love a He, She or Both with handwraps, ear-wear, brooches, and rings. Upto 5% of the money raised from sales shall be processed ahead in campaigns centered on
financial inclusion for Single Women in West Bengal & Tamil Nadu.
This unconventional initiative has been much supported by International Music Duo Sevenn, National Media Houses, Fashion Designer Stylist Indroneel Mukherjee, Influencers and the Youth from across the nation.
We have also received over a 100 anonymous letters, and tagged through social media posts that share the stories of challenges that the singles, divorced and the LGBTQ individuals still face in the best of affluent societies of the country. The letters also have given them a chance to voice their version of the unsaid expressions in love and come together as a community that seeks to empower for change.
Project LOVE UNPLUGGED is the need of 2018 to help people come out and accept their identities so the beautiful expression of LOVE is not left unsaid and can be celebrated with freedom.
